Bond market week of calm ended with JCPOA uncertainty.
- Yields did not move sharply last week ending on Trumps move to exit the JCPOA on the last day of trading, the impact of which is yet to be seen.
- Since the beginning of the year (Mar 25th), municipal bonds have had more returns than government and corporate bonds, with returns of 22.7 percent. Government and corporate bonds have been operating at 1.22% and 2.20%, since the beginning of the year.
- From March 25th to May 9th, the volume and value of debt market transactions rose by 22% and 33%, to the same period last year, respectively.
